New York Wooden Map

 CityWood is a wooden map artwork. City streets, water and landscape are represented by separate wooden layers. Each layer of high-quality plywood is laser cut separately with a one hundredth of a millimeter precision and polished with sand paper to provide smooth clean surface.

To protect the wood each surface is finished with varnish to add color and material durability. Each map is unique due to the individual grain of the wood. Finally whole wall art is assembled by hand with great attention to the crafting process.
